Open model revenue analysis uses stale Q1 data: TogetherAI tokens up 10x, CRWV beats them all combined
xeophon · x · 2026-09-21
xeophon argues a popular open-model revenue analysis relies on severely outdated numbers (Q1 or even earlier). TogetherAI's tokens grew >10x from Q1 to Q2, Fireworks 3x, Baseten is as big as both, and OpenRouter >5x. He also flags methodology: if Modal (sandboxes) and Runpod (GPUs only) count as "open model revenue," all neoclouds should be included — and CoreWeave (CRWV) alone has more revenue than all those numbers combined.
