New '100% synthetic data' model bans evals in ToS — researcher calls that worrying
IanArawjo · x · 2026-09-20
Researcher nickmvincent finds the new Jev / typesafe model promising on vibes and early applications, but flags two bad signs: no data details ('100 percent synthetic') and ToS terms banning users from running evals. He argues that taken to its logical extreme — or if such terms become adopted standards — this is very bad for transparency and third-party evaluation. Longer thoughts to come.
