Developer @vjvarada showed off a PCB that was almost entirely designed by AI: 135 parts, 514 pads, 4 layers. Using an AI harness built in VS Code, the system calculated every component, read the datasheets, drew the schematic, and checked its own work — the author says he designed almost none of it. His takeaway: if the next board costs only an afternoon, what would you build? A striking demo of coding agents pushing into hardware design.
