OpenAI launches Astra for Law, rolling out to select firms with 73 legal plugins

OpenAI has launched Astra for Law, a legal-industry offering initially available through Trusted Access to select law firms inside ChatGPT and Codex, with an API coming soon; OpenAI says it will maintain the legal configuration.
It ships alongside 26 partner plugins and 47 community legal plugins: partners including Thomson Reuters, Harvey, Legora, and iManage provide professional tooling and knowledge, while community plugins are built by lawyers and legal engineers. OpenAI plans to refine the product with the lawyers and legal-tech partners actually using it.
