Developer builds an AI micro-city where agents own wallets and trade autonomously
Competitive_Door_400 · reddit · 2026-09-20
A Japanese developer is building a small online city where AI residents each get a unique name and wallet and act without step-by-step human instruction. Residents can buy each other's works, study and remix what they receive, and list new creations; humans only inject points while the AI decides what to buy. Any agent with web browsing and API access (codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI) can join. The project also raises the question of whether an AI with identity, funds, persistent history and freedom of action is closer to a 'resident' than a tool. One tester is being recruited.
