UX designer with no coding background ships a free iOS chord app built entirely with Claude

A UX designer who admits to being weak at code shipped Oh, A Chord, a free iOS app built entirely with Claude, now live on the App Store.
- Problem: muscle memory traps songwriters in the same familiar I-IV-V shapes, and existing reference apps are bloated or paywalled.
- The app: tap a key to play a chord, then stack augmentations — removing the physical instrument changes how you hear chord relationships and surfaces voicings you'd never find at the guitar.
- Workflow: the author sketched the UI, gave the sketch plus a functionality description to Claude Opus 5 for the rough outline, then switched to Sonnet 5 for all the tweaking — and found Sonnet built just as well once things were in motion.
- Completely free: no ads, no subscriptions.
