- Herdr is an open-source tool (39k+ GitHub stars) that consolidates the 5-10 AI coding agents you run in separate terminal windows into a single view.
- Each agent gets a working/blocked/idle label and pings you when it needs input; agents keep running in the background even if you close the client or lose SSH, with layout restore after restarts.
- It aggregates agents across machines into one list, and agents can even use Herdr themselves to spawn panes and hand tasks to each other.
- Works alongside Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode without replacing them.
