A jab at Google: it used CAPTCHAs to get humans labeling images for free for over two decades (the origin of reCAPTCHA's training data), yet failed to win the generative AI race. The quoted tweet complains modern CAPTCHAs are pure gaslighting — a blurry sliver of a pole in the background somehow doesn't count as a traffic light.
