Accorduon turns a foldable iPhone into an accordion — the hinge is the bellows
rounak · x · 2026-09-20
Developer artemnovichkov open-sourced Accorduon, a SwiftUI accordion app for the foldable iPhone Duo where the hinge acts as the bellows: folding and unfolding pushes air through synthesized reeds.
- Right hand plays melody on a vertical piano keyboard; left hand buttons play single bass notes or chords (F, C, G, Dm, Am, Em)
- Keys make no sound until the bellows move — the faster you fold, the louder and brighter it plays, mirroring a real accordion
- Built-in songs (Ode to Joy, Jingle Bells, Katyusha, etc.) light up the next key; finger-drag or Auto Air mode works without a hinge
- Uses SwiftUI with onHingeChange angle tracking; code is on GitHub
