gemini-cli bug: --resume reopens most recently started session, not most recently used
soroush5 · ghdev · 2026-09-20
A developer filed issue #29410 (priority/p2) against google-gemini/gemini-cli: running bare gemini --resume restores the most recently started session rather than the most recently used one. With a long-lived main session plus a newer spike session, resume lands in the stale spike and follow-up chat gets misfiled there. The issue was bot-triaged as a bug and the reporter offered to submit a fix PR.
