Responding to Berlin's AI video surveillance pilot at Kottbusser Tor, designer Simon Weckert created "Digital Camouflage," a shirt that stops AI object detectors from recognizing the wearer as a person.
- How it works: AI never learned what a human is — only statistical patterns from millions of training images. The shirt's saturated color transitions fire strongly in early layers while overlapping shapes break the body's outline continuity, so the detector can't bind parts into a figure.
