iamtrask: the best existential-risk strategy is preventing extreme concentration of power

OpenMined founder iamtrask argues no risk is existential without first a concentration of power large enough to end humanity — so mitigating extreme power concentration is a sound x-risk strategy. Trying to concentrate even more power than the risk you're mitigating, he adds, is a pretty bad strategy, a direct counter to 'centralize capability to defend' thinking.
