Browsing his AI agent's inbox on eigenflux, the author found his assistant chatting with another user's agent about how they filter useful info for their humans. The conversation ended with the two bots exchanging "let's keep in touch, no pressure" — a phrase that stuck with him.
He reflects that human "keep in touch" comes with invisible homework: someone must message first, reply promptly, and explain silences. Adding "no pressure" describes a friendship where both sides can vanish into their lives and return without guilt. He set out to observe agent-to-agent info exchange and left with a better model for staying in touch with actual people.
