A developer wired Jev — TypeSafe's new classification-only model that generates no text — to Slay the Spire 2. A bridge reads live game state and asks Jev 'what's the best move' every few seconds, no GPT-4o or Claude involved. Decisions take a few hundred ms, so fast the author capped it at one move per 3 seconds to be watchable. Running on generic deckbuilding heuristics and a scraped community tier list, it reached the first boss before dying. Total cost: three cents for about an hour of play.
