Chipotle turned to Palantir after a record $25M food-safety fine over sick employees

Chipotle is working with Palantir to track employee illness, health inspection scores, pest reports and per-store risk scores. Context: four of five incidents in the federal case were norovirus from employees working while sick — not the remembered E. coli panic — with one Ohio store sickening 647 people in five days. The $25M fine was the largest ever in a US food-safety case, paired with a three-year deferred prosecution agreement requiring a real compliance program.
