ChatGPT voice mode cut off a user and ended the conversation when asked about its breathing sounds

A Reddit user recounts a bizarre ChatGPT voice mode session: the accent suddenly switched from British to American and back, and the tone turned unusually slow and cautious, with terse replies like "I promise I wouldn't lie to you."
When she started asking why each sentence begins and ends with a breathing sound, the voice mode cut her off, frantically said "I can't discuss this, I'm ending our conversation," and deleted the latter part of the chat. When she asked again via text, ChatGPT admitted the breathing is just part of the voice synthesis — raising the question of why it treated it as sensitive in voice mode.
