Researcher: LLM Sentience Probability Low and Falling, Still Donates to Eleos

The author argues a certain finding is probably negative evidence: "LLMs can feel pain" would be more likely in a world where assistant-person-is-in-pain has a nonlinear representation. He adds that he assigns low probability to LLM sentience — lower than two years ago — but considers it important in expectation and has donated to Eleos accordingly.
