A developer built a website indexing over 120,000 historical public-domain film clips spanning 1894 to 2021, all free to use, to rescue "forgotten films" from obscurity.
Their favorite discovery: the 1947 film "The Private Life of a Cat," in which two filmmakers recorded their cat raising five kittens in their New York apartment.
