Responding to Fortune's piece on Lucy Guo saying AI is making people work harder, alex voica recalls his time in China: many teams worked 996 yet produced less than a UK 9-to-5 worker, partly because people spent two hours a day sleeping under their desks. His takeaway: it's not (just) about the hours you put in, it's what you do during those hours.
