Perplexity CEO: agents will spawn billion-dollar companies with just 20-30 people

Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas said on the 20VC podcast that AI agents could trigger an explosion of tiny billion-dollar companies — while criticizing Anthropic for telling the world AI was coming for their jobs.
He predicts many amazing companies built with far fewer people, reaching multi-hundred-million or multi-billion-dollar valuations with just 20 or 30 employees and propelling trillions of dollars of new GDP.
