Ex-Meta Llama 3 RL lead joins Merrai, an AI memory-layer startup, as advisor

Michal, former Principal Llama Scientist at Meta GenAI (he built Llama 3's online RL stack alongside Yann LeCun, co-created Google DeepMind Paris, and leads research at Isara Labs), has joined Merrai as an advisor.
Merrai is building a Mac-based "personal intelligence OS" that connects to all your AI tools and gives them a single shared memory of you. The thesis: the AI stack becomes modular, and once everyone has access to the same models, the remaining moat is the context generated inside your tools — memory that the user owns rather than a platform. Private beta for Mac is live.
