Solo founder or not: the real question is a learning-loop moat, not headcount
atShruti · x · 2026-09-19
- On solo founding: you move faster without cofounder friction, but have zero backup when sales and building collide. The real question is whether the company has the capability, speed, judgment and endurance to win — don't add a cofounder for optics or stay solo out of ego.
- On moats today: a learning loop competitors can't easily reproduce — soft things like team, network, culture and execution pace, or technical ones like data and a workflow you're already inside. The product gets you in; the moat keeps you competitive.
