Pydantic creator builds a one-tool MCP server that drafts his emails, free to run
samuelcolvin · x · 2026-09-18
Pydantic creator Samuel Colvin built an MCP server so his team can draft emails for him, with a single tool: draftemail(to, subject, bodymarkdown, cc, bcc). He reviews drafts and clicks send. The stack runs free: hosted on Render's free tier, instrumented with Pydantic Logfire, storage via his cloudkv project on GitHub. Not open-sourced because it's mostly vibe coded. A lean, replicable example of personal MCP tooling.
