Polymarket opens: 42% odds of a comprehensive US federal AI framework by 2028
Polymarket · x · 2026-09-18
Polymarket launched a new market on whether the US enacts a comprehensive federal AI framework law before the end of 2027, currently priced at 42%. Resolution requires provisions in both categories: (1) directing a federal agency like NIST to develop AI technical standards, benchmarks, testing frameworks, or evaluation capacity, and (2) mandating transparency, disclosure, or risk-management practices for AI systems. Studies or one-time reports to Congress don't count.
