Liquid AI's aging-biology LFMs published in Cell; 1.2B model rivals frontier LLMs
JosephJacks_ · x · 2026-09-18
Liquid AI announced its aging-biology foundation model work published in Cell Press. The team released LongevityBench, a benchmark for evaluating LLMs on interpreting aging/longevity data across modalities: clinical records, DNA methylation, transcriptomics, plasma proteomics, and genetic evidence.
Fine-tuned compact models LFM2-1.2B-Longevity and LFM2-2.6B-Longevity prove competitive with much larger frontier models on aging-research tasks. Models and benchmark are open on Hugging Face, with the full methodology in the Cell paper.
