Ethan Mollick open sourced a project built with the new Claude Projects: reconstructing Umberto Eco's famous 33,000-book Milan library in a walk-through 3D map, with shelf slots, identified books, and descriptions — with the AI finding all references itself. The single-file three.js page supports orbiting or eye-level navigation. Rare volumes (1,300 incl. 36 incunabula) are at the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense; the working library opened as the Biblioteca Eco in Palazzo Poggi.
