Solo dev launches hosted MCP server with 31 tools scheduling to 20+ social networks

Schedulin, built by a solo developer, launched a hosted MCP server (https://mcp.schedulin.app/mcp) with streamable HTTP, OAuth with dynamic client registration or API key auth, 31 tools, and scheduling to 20+ social networks. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any remote-MCP client.
Design choices worth stealing for MCP builders:
- getplatformrequirements comes first: caption limits and media rules differ per network; having the agent check before createpost cut failed posts significantly
- The agent never handles file bytes: pass a public URL or generate an upload link — models are bad at moving binary data
- Every tool carries readOnlyHint and destructiveHint annotations, so clients can auto-approve reads and confirm deletes
- Media array order is the carousel order: no position field — they tried one and models kept getting it wrong
The author welcomes questions on DCR/OAuth, which took several rounds to get right across Claude, ChatGPT, and Vercel.
