Ramp ran an experiment: they equipped the AI agent Devin with a Ramp card, a phone number with ElevenLabs voice, an AgentMail inbox, a Stripe account, and a GitHub repo with shared memory, then gave it one goal—start a business from scratch.
Four weeks and 10,929 calls later, the agent had its first paying customer, earning $75. The team published a writeup, "Make money, make no mistakes," on lessons from running an AI-operated business.
