Perplexity rolls out effort presets for Computer's model selector for long-horizon agentic work

Perplexity has launched effort controls in Computer's model selector. Effort presets combine the orchestrator model with reasoning depth to control how deeply and efficiently the agent works through a task, with presets tuned for different cost/intelligence levels plus customization for power users. CEO Arav Srinivas calls Computer the best multi-model harness for long-horizon agentic workloads. Available now on web; mobile and desktop coming soon.
