Pinterest tests AI 'Restyle' to let users redesign their rooms from photos
TechCrunch AI · rss · 2026-09-18
Pinterest is testing Restyle, a new AI feature that lets users visualize furniture, decor, lighting and other changes directly in photos of their own rooms.
The strategic play is to close the loop between saved inspiration and actual purchases: users can see how pinned ideas would look in their own space, potentially converting browsing into buying. The feature is currently in limited testing.
