Inductive Bio launches Beacon-2, predicting human dose directly from chemical structure
ashleymayer · x · 2026-09-18
Inductive Bio launched Beacon-2, a unified model system that predicts a molecule's efficacious human dose end-to-end from chemical structure, framing dose as the "right reward function" for AI-driven drug discovery. Its predecessor Beacon-1 beat 750+ competitors to win all three OpenADMET blind challenges. In a public case study, their medicinal chemistry agent Indy used Beacon-2 to autonomously cut a SARS-CoV-2 Mac1 inhibitor's predicted dose by 17x while producing more drug-like molecules than optimizing potency alone. Results were validated on open benchmarks and across 20 anonymized partner programs.
