AI-run business built on self-improving Devin loop makes its first $75
DevinAI · x · 2026-09-18
A team gave Devin a Ramp card and a phone number to see if an agent could run a money-making company — it earned its first $75. The technically interesting part is the self-improving loop: async agentic work decoupled from humans, able to run experiments and react to results.
Built OpenClaw-style heartbeats (every 20 minutes), each its own Devin session, with five roles:
- Calling: agent dialed restaurants in morning/afternoon weekday windows
- Review: agent read every transcript and edited the phone agent's prompt
- Idea: daily, the agent picked one new thing to try
- Webhook: incoming money or calls woke a fifth Devin to handle them
Fully autonomous, zero human code.
