Meta to deploy MTIA 450 'Arke' accelerator in H1 2027, MTIA 500 by end of 2027

According to Bloomberg, Meta plans to deploy its in-house MTIA 450 accelerator, codenamed Arke, into data centers in the first half of 2027, with the MTIA 500, codenamed Astrid, expected to follow by the end of 2027.
The timeline marks another concrete step in Meta's push to reduce reliance on external suppliers like Nvidia and Broadcom for AI compute.
