Developer deehw announced that the first Harness desk devices are shipping, alongside the open-source launch of OpenHarness on GitHub (80+ stars, 1,027 commits already).
- What it is: an open-source software and hardware platform for domain-specific harnesses (DSH), running Claude Code, Codex, and any coding agent in persistent terminals across all your machines
- Domain powers: with a harness attached, agents can design circuit boards (CAD/PCB), model 3D parts, simulate robots, and build games, rendered in a live viewer
- Hardware: a companion open-hardware Harness device keeps agents on your desk
- Repo: modular architecture spanning backend, CLI, desktop, mobile, provider, store, and device firmware
