PlayCanvas' Will Eastcott showcased a massive 3D Gaussian Splatting capture of Trogir, a medieval town in Croatia.
- 45 million Gaussians, scanned with an XGRIDS PortalCam in a single 17-minute walk (no Map Fusion), released under CC BY 4.0
- Runs on PlayCanvas' WebGPU 3DGS renderer, fluid enough to explore a huge scene in a browser tab
- Thanks to the Streamed SOG format, the whole old town fits in 520MB, with splats compressed hard and streamed as you move
