NVIDIA launches CUDA Rust: native Rust GPU kernels compiled to PTX
ricklamers · x · 2026-09-17
NVIDIA's HPC team introduced CUDA Rust, letting developers write GPU kernels natively in Rust rather than only launching them from Rust. Two paths: cuda-oxide for SIMT kernels compiled to PTX, and cutile-rs for Tile-based programming on stable Rust — both catching aliasing errors at compile time. A technical blog accompanies the release.
