Google DeepMind and the Broad Institute are using AlphaGenome Atlas to sift the vast space of candidate mutations behind unexplained rare disease cases. Researchers pinpointed a critical mutation in the DNM1 gene, later confirmed and validated in the lab. Teams at the Broad Institute and University of Exeter are already using Atlas to identify potentially disease-causing DNA variants and interpret their roles.
