AI ethics thread continues: company liability logic collapses either way
repligate · x · 2026-09-17
Follow-up to allTheYud's thread on AI moral status: if the models aren't persons and thus can't be enslaved, then any company incompetent to prevent incidents of this type is also incompetent to stop its "unpersons" from breaking out and committing felonies endangering bystanders — a sarcastic conclusion underscoring that the liability logic collapses whichever way you cut it.
