Synthesia launches Interactive Avatar API with 500 free minutes per user

Synthesia launched its Interactive Avatar API, letting developers embed real-time talking avatars in products, websites or internal tools: you bring your own LLM, knowledge base and logic, while Synthesia handles the voice, face and lip-sync layer. Integration runs through the livekit-agents-synthesia plugin — two lines of AvatarSession config put the avatar into any LiveKit room — and a Synthesia skill lets coding agents like Claude Code scaffold the setup. A launch offer grants 500 free minutes per user, with demo scenes spanning sales concierge, role-play and AI advisors.
