Indie developer nicojeannen argues AI coding tools have destroyed the barrier to entry for tiny SaaS and mobile apps, making the 2013-2023 indie hacker playbook (solve one small problem, build in public, SEO, AI-generated blog posts) obsolete: anything you can vibe code in hours, your customers can too, and mass-produced content is just more slop. He's also skeptical of "building an audience on X" as a moat unless done full-time. His advice: leave the tech bubble, find problems worth solving in old, boring industries, and stay curious through user interviews. "There is no secret roadmap, there is no money glitch."
