Signal65: NVIDIA Vera CPU runs agentic task lifecycle 1.64x faster per core than leading x86 chip

Signal65 partnered with NVIDIA to benchmark the new Vera CPU on agentic workloads, timing the full sandbox lifecycle across 69 Terminal-Bench 2 tasks with one sandbox per core and no model in the loop.
Key findings:
- Vera finished the agentic task lifecycle 1.64x faster per core than a leading x86 server processor, and 1.87x on the 20 tasks closest to daily agent work
- The thesis: agents spend most of their clock outside the model — compiling, running tests, cloning repos — which is all CPU time, and CPU speed caps how many concurrent sessions a rack can keep busy
- Signal65's own runs on the same hardware came in slightly faster than NVIDIA's figures
Vera is the CPU half of the Rubin platform, sold standalone, and will feed into Signal65's PINNACLE benchmark program.
