Federal Register site caught testing Qwen3-powered search, hidden from public view
96Stats · x · 2026-09-17
Via Chrome DevTools the author found the Federal Register search form exposed internal search-type IDs: 3 = Semantic, 6 = Keyword, 306 = Hybrid Qwen3, 914 = Qwen3. The Qwen label briefly vanished from the page, but calling the public API with conditions[searchtypeid]=306 still worked and returned different results from the legacy engines, showing the test is ongoing.
