Developer ojasviyadav built a tool that turns e-books into audiobooks entirely on-device, no cloud involved.
The companion GitHub repo, audiobook-studio, is a native SwiftUI app for Apple Silicon: feed it an EPUB and local speech models (Qwen and Voxtral via MLX-Audio, Kokoro on PyTorch with Metal) narrate it, producing a resumable M4B with chapter markers and cover art.
