Indie dev builds e-commerce AI support tool, asks how to price first client

A French indie developer built an AI support automation tool for e-commerce: it reads tickets from email or forms, auto-replies based on store-specific rules (refund/shipping policies), verifies real delivery status when relevant, and escalates to a human with a suggested reply when cases get too tricky.
The business model is one-time purchase with installation included — the client owns the product, with an optional small monthly fee for hosted management. With zero case studies so far, he's asking how to price the first client (a small online shop) and what to charge once he has real results, noting custom delivery compares more to dev services than to a Zendesk subscription.
