Indie developer arjitj2 released Skill Index, a free open-source macOS app that fixes MCP config drift between coding agents — a server available in one client may be missing or configured differently in another.
- Scans local config files, compares MCP definitions side by side, lets you inspect mismatched files and review repairs before applying; changes go to a local audit log, intentional diffs can be kept
- Also inventories skills, subagents and plugin-provided capabilities, with plugins read-only
