NetEase Youdao open-sourced Confucius4-R2T2, a lightweight 1.7B-parameter true streaming ASR model built on Qwen3-ASR. It offers configurable decoding chunks from 80ms to 2s, append-only transcription (committed text never changes), and streaming accuracy close to offline ASR. Designed for live captioning, speech translation, and voice agents; available on GitHub and Hugging Face.
