Google rolled out early access to an MCP server for Google Home, letting any MCP-capable AI agent like Claude or ChatGPT control connected devices, review camera summaries and build dashboards via natural language. Users set it up through a Google Cloud project and agent-side configuration. The poster wired up lights, cameras and thermostat, aiming to ask why their PG&E bill spiked.
