Rune Energy raises $40M to turn stranded solar into AI compute, no grid needed

Rune Energy has raised $40M to build power electronics that feed stranded solar power directly into AI compute without any grid connection.
Its RELIC product bills itself as a "drama-free" data center deployable in under 60 minutes, and is already live at a 200MW site in Texas. The idea: bypass interconnection queues by converting solar DC straight to compute.
