Tutor unveils warehouse robot Sonny, trained on data from 100 real robots

US-based Tutor Intelligence introduced Sonny, a semi-humanoid warehouse robot targeting 3PL, e-commerce picking, B2B fulfillment and manufacturing to address labor shortages.
- Design: wheeled base, 180° rotating head, swappable end effectors; clips on the base can lock onto a cart so Sonny moves with the rack while its arms and grippers pick items simultaneously.
- Data loop: Tutor previously built "Data Factory 1" with 100 Sonny robots collecting real-world data to train its Ti0 VLA model — a continuous learning loop from real-robot data to training and back to deployment.
- Commercialization: deployment starts later in 2026, with e-commerce each-picking as the first clear use case.
