Misplaced build cache in AI coding tool cost developer a week of waiting
RileyRalmuto · x · 2026-09-17
Developer RileyRalmuto found Astra had moved the active release build cache to an external LaCie drive reserved for stale branches. Builds that took 10+ minutes each now finish in 69 seconds. Agents also stopped running with their own caches in parallel, serially waiting on each other. He estimates a week of waiting time was wasted.
